‘Education U.K.’ exhibition opens in Chennai today

CHENNAI:
British Council will organise its annual ‘Education U.K.’ exhibition here on Tuesday and Wednesday. The exhibition will give students and parents an opportunity to interact with representatives from nearly 55 U.K.-based institutions. Statistics from the British Council indicate that more than 27,000 Indian students are currently studying in the UK. The range of options in courses and short duration of programmes attract more students, say Council’s representatives. The interaction with representatives would give students an idea of not only the courses offered, but also of admission procedures and other requirements. The exhibition will be held at Hotel Taj Coromandel between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on both days. Entry to the exhibition is free.
